No Index
Search engine visibility control that prevents specific pages from appearing in search results and sitemaps
What is No Index?
No Index is a search engine control tool that adds NOINDEX and NOFOLLOW meta tags to specific pages in your store. This tells search engines like Google not to index these pages, effectively removing them from search results. The tool works on products, collections, articles, pages, and blogs.
When applied, pages are automatically removed from your Shopify sitemaps, SEO King image sitemaps, and internal site search results. Google receives an automatic crawl command to update its indexing data, with de-indexing typically completing within a few days.

Use With Caution
Pages Will Not Be Crawlable
NOINDEX pages are completely removed from Google search results, Shopify sitemaps, and internal site search. Visitors cannot find these pages through search engines or your site search tool. Only use this for pages you intentionally want hidden from search.
De-indexing Takes Time
Google requires a few days to process de-indexing requests. Pages will remain in search results temporarily even after NOINDEX is applied. Google receives an automatic crawl command but removal is not instant.
Verify Your Implementation
View Page Source
Visit the page in your browser, right-click and select "View Page Source", then press Ctrl/Cmd + F to search for "NOINDEX". Look for <meta name='robots' content='NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW'> in the code near the top.
SEO Editor Verification
Open the page in SEO Editor tool to see NOINDEX status and verify meta tag implementation without checking source code.
Google Search Test
After a few days, search for the page URL in Google. If properly de-indexed, the page should not appear in search results.
